BrightStar Care of Birmingham, MI is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. This is for a one on one Quad client. There are two shifts being offered for this resident, one during the day and one at night. During the day shift, you will be paired with a CNA. At BrightStar Care, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and older adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their homes.

Registered Nurse Requirements:

Current unrestricted RN license in state of Michigan
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Availability to work 12 hour shifts preferred 8pm-8am
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Minimum 1 year of documented experience required in home care, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred
- Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Analytic/Critical thinker
- Able to take vitals
- Administer Medications
- Injection Experience
- Infusion Experience
- Hoyer Lift experience
- Power chair experience
- PEG feeding tube experience
- Suprapubic Catheter experience
Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Reliable transportation
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed
Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
